APAD 32 - Malaysia Boleh 2!

Who could believe it 2 weeks ago when the tournament first started? When we got thrashed 5-1 by the very same team we beat last Sunday so comprehensively, 3-0.
As the Chinese saying goes - the ball is round, anything can happen wan. haha.
Now that we have one hands firmly on the Suzuki Cup, hope the lads will do us proud again this coming Wednesday!

APAD 31 - Home made spaghetti by CS
Spent Xmas day with Chee Siong, Moon, Melvin and Audrey - had a quiet night dinner with home made spaghetti. Must say, it was really delicious!
Glad to be able to spend a quiet holiday for once, after having spent the last 7 years singing or performing at cafes / functions etc during festive seasons.
Hoping for more of these quiet holidays now that i am semi retiring form the scene :)

APAD 30 - Awesome Foursome A No Black Tie
Attended a breathtaking performance by Reza Salleh, Mia Palencia, Melina William and Zalila Lee recent at NBT. Wow. Thats it. Wow!
I love everything about the performance - the showmanship, the songs (its all original compositions on this night as it is a singer-songwriter's round), the vocals, the guitars, the crowd, even the food... everything was just awesome! This is accoustic music at its absolute best.
And guess what, the awesome foursome is gonna perform again on 7th and 8th January 2011 - doing covers (in their own way of course) of songs they like - this is part 2 of the highly succesful Shameless Covers Night which they performed last August. I missed the last one but am definitely going for this one!
Anyone who loves accoustic music and pop-jazz should go grab your tics now!!!!

APAD 29 - Wings Singer Xmas Gathering
所有回音石歌手与员工都在各自演唱表演／工作结束后赶到Times Walk 分行一起过个圣诞party，还满温馨的：）有火锅，有见到好久没见的朋友，大家也开开心心的一起度过个快乐夜：）
当然少不了交换礼物的传统。我竟然拿到一个我穿不下的T shirt哈哈。。。没关系啦，欢喜就好：）

You know, the most expensive comb i ever had was the rm2 orange plastic comb from the pasar malam.
But my friend paid a whopping RM175.00 for these 3.

APAD 23 - Malaysia Memang Boleh!
Saw what must be a Malaysian record number of barcode in a single location (thats how the Malaysia home kit looked like by the way).
Enterprising and attacking football by both sides.
Malaysia really look up to it with 2 well taken goals.
Cant wait for the second leg.
The only bad spot is that it is not a holiday tomorrow:(

APAD 22 - It Is Back! My Favourite Burger!
Yes! The much awaited Prosperity Burger is back for its annual pre-CNY "duty" and wil be sold in all major McD in the country from now till CNY. So far only the beef one is being sold, not sure if the chicken one will come out soon.
Go grab yours now! I'm crunching one away as I type. Yummy!
APAD 21 - Malaysia Will Win!
Just went to do up my National kits yesterday at Q Line Sports, Pertama complex. Both my away and home (aka "the barcode") kits are now looking smashingly gorgeous! Dont you think so too?
Also got the ticks for the 1st leg of the Suzuki Cup semifinal match from Irwan - thanks alot mate, and hope we My-FJCers will have a blast later tonight!

APAD 15 - 支持本地歌乐手之欣彦篇
也高兴她收录了师兄ah worm的一首创作 － “洒洒雨”， 这首歌本人真的觉得值得一推！毕竟本地华文歌坛很少有作曲者会做这样的曲风的歌，而且有好听！希望以后可以陆续听到这两位朋友的作品！
大家不妨到临近的rock corner或cd rama 购买吧！我当然拉了一班朋友支持了哈哈。

My brother just bought a new mixer - the YAMAHA MG 166 Cx - since our old Behringer went dead during a function last week.

APAD 13 - I Wanna Get MY Hands On This Ride!
Ok, more or less decided. After a looooong search, I think I have found the ride I wanna get!
Its the beautiful new Hyundai Tucson! Chance upon it when I tagged along with CHL when he went to test drive the new Sonata (which is also another beauty! see pic below). It was love at first sight.
Now, trying to find the money to buy my love. Huat ah!

APAD11 - The most ridicuolous Tic Tac Toe duel
Note to self: do not ever suggest playing Tic Tac Toe to Jesmond or Apple - they both suck at this simple game! Maybe they are too smart for this hm.
Anyway this was taken at Xi Lai Ton Restaraunt in Kajang where we had a wedding performance on Sunday night. It was memorable for a few things:
1. Jesmond forgot to wear his coat for the second session of the gig!
2. Easily the gig that ended latest (for me anyway - we ended performance at 11.10pm and I reached home at 1.20am!)
3. The wedding dinner that started latest - almost 9pm!
4. First time we laughed on stage during performance - out loud almost! All becos of 1. above!
5. Performance almost tak jadi! Cos I brought the wrong cable! Then we connected 3 jack in cables tomy keyboard using connectors (my keyboard is easily 70-80 meters away from the sound room where the mixer was! After all the trouble, finally found out the restaurant already has the three-pin to mono cable which we needed. Cheh!
6. Betrayal and Lies (to me only - I shall not reveal more)
7. Almost got lost going back because Apple and Jesmond both "fighting" with each other over which is the correct direction to go back to Taman Desa from Kajang. We got lost abit (whichw as why we were back soooo late too!)
8. We forgot to take group pics :(
But I did take a shot of Apple with the empty plates of the food she sapu-ed and one of Jemond and Apple with Fandi, a local "underground" DJ (check out FM31).
Overall it was a fun gig. Thanks to Janson for giving us the opportunity! Looking forward to the next one!
APAD10 - Wish my collection can be as great as his...
Talking bout my CD collections this time :) That bloke standing in front of the humongous 6 feet cabinet is my friend Leslie, music producer and enthusiast. His collections date back form the 90s and covers a wide range, mainly Western and Asian indies and audiophile recordings. He is also a well respected Hi-Fi hobbyist. One thing I admire about him is his passion for music and his preserverance in supporting and purchasing CDs (originals of course!) despite the easily avaiable and cheaper downloads. All to support the industry. Not to mention of course the quality of original CDs are way better than the compressed digital formats.
I have stopped buying pyrated items and illegal downloads since 2004. I have a small collection myself of CDs, cassettes and DVDs of mainly Chinese pop songs. Hope my collection will be as great as Leslie's one day.
Here are some other random pics taken at Leslie's place last Saturday when he invited friends over to his place for a listening party - debuting my old friend Zyan's album. Will definitely blog on that shortly!

APAD 8 - 2V1G At No Black Tie 2010
Another memorable performance by the trio. Great vocals, great music, great atmosphere. Looking forward to the next double bill tentatively fixed on 8.4.2011! Mark your calendars!
Also enjoyed the cameo by Zyan, I am so looking forward to the album which I am gonna get this Saturday. Bossa is really THE genre that i think suits Zyan. Grab it to believe it!

APAD 7 - Our date with Jay Chou!
First of all, wanna say I was in a pretty bad mood few hours back.
很久没有被人放鸽子了。今天就被一位老友放了。而且可悲的是，看来我是被“遗忘”的那位。ie如果不是我sms问时间（我那时已到达目的地了），我都不知道原来计划取消了。没关系，我已当惯了常被遗忘的无名小角色。
结果坐着朋友放的鸽子飞到ss2 wings 听瑞平和子营唱歌，加上一杯好久没喝了的Hoegarden，还算心情平复了些。
也还好今天成功买了周董的演唱会门票，可以和李妈妈，林爸爸还有一位很想约很久了的朋友一同去看！所以无论什么事情都不能破坏今天happy的mood! 哈哈！
谁也是3月4号去看？到时见罗！
